About

This is my 21st year in education. During that time I have worked at the elementary, middle and high school levels as a classroom teacher and reading specialist. My favorite? High school! My passion? Literacy- helping students find the readers and writers hidden inside of them. This year I’ve taken on an exciting new job which has me out of the classroom, but still working with students, parents and teachers. I work for the Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate program as an Academic Support Specialist. It’s a great program that provides students with mentoring, tutoring, advocacy,enrichment, leadership training, and scholarship support services.

When I’m not teaching, I am mom to 4 busy boys. I feel like my after school job is taxi driver! But I wouldn’t change any of it!
